Events Terms and Conditions

For All Events with Something Special Introductions

These are the Terms and Conditions for events organised by Something Special Introductions, including 'Little Something' Dating Nights, Drinks For Singles, Friendship Club Events, Charity Events and other ticketed events.

Please ensure you have read these Terms and Conditions before attending an event. By purchasing a ticket or attending an event with Something Special Introductions, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.

Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

Something Special Introductions organises social events to help people meet new people, make friendships and, where applicable, meet potential partners.

 

You do not need to be a Matchmaking Member to attend our events unless otherwise stated.

 

These Terms apply to all attendees at events organised by Something Special Introductions ("the Attendee", "You" or "Your").

 

Something Special Introductions ("the Company", "we", "us" or "our") reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time.

The version published on the website at the time of booking will apply.

 

2. Attendance

  • You must be at least 18 years old to attend any event organised by Something Special Introductions.

  • Attendees are responsible for arriving on time.

  • If you are running late or unable to attend, please notify the organiser as soon as possible.

 

Where practical, the organiser may wait a few minutes for attendees who have advised they are running late; however, Something Special is under no obligation to delay the start of an event.

3. Dating Events

By purchasing a ticket to a 'Little Something' Dating Night, you confirm that you are single and eligible to attend the advertised age group.

 

All attendees at Dating Nights are required to:

i. Bring two forms of valid identification, at least one of which must be photographic.

ii. Sign Something Special's Confidentiality & Code of Conduct Agreement.

iii. Comply with all Dating Night procedures and instructions given by the organiser.

 

Age Ranges

  • Attendees must fall within the advertised age range for the event.

  • Guests aged 23 or 24 may attend the 25–40 age group.

  • Guests over the upper age limit may attend the 60–75 and 65–80 age groups.

  • All other age groups are restricted to the advertised age bracket unless otherwise stated on the event listing.

  • Drinks For Singles events are open-age events unless otherwise stated on the event listing.

 

4. Consider Me & Takes Two

  • Unless they choose to opt out, attendees at Dating Nights may be added to Something Special's 'Consider Me' pool and may be considered for introductions to Matchmaking Members.

  •  

  • Attendees at Dating Nights may be eligible to join the 'Takes Two' platform free of charge if they request access within 24 hours of attending and complete the required verification process.

 

5. Friendship Club & Social Events​

  • Friendship Club Events, Charity Events and other social events are open to all adults aged 18 and over unless otherwise stated on the event listing.

  • You do not need to be a Friendship Club Member to attend Friendship Club Events.

  • Some events may offer both Member and Non-Member ticket prices. Current Friendship Club Membership details, pricing and benefits can be found on the Friendship Club pages of the website.

  • Where an event requires a deposit, ticket prices, discounts, credits or member benefits will be clearly stated on the individual event listing.

  • Relationship status is not relevant for attendance at these events.

  • Walks and outdoor activities are subject to the Participation Policy. Attendees are responsible for deciding whether a walk or activity is suitable for them before attending.

 

6. â€‹Privacy

  • Attendees are advised to exercise the same level of caution when meeting fellow attendees as they would when making any new acquaintance.

  • We will not disclose personal information without permission unless required to do so by law.

  • Guests are not permitted to request personal information about other attendees from Something Special Introductions.

7. Conduct & Behaviour

  • All attendees are expected to behave respectfully and courteously towards fellow attendees, venue staff, organisers, co-hosts and event hosts.

  • Something Special reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any attendee whose behaviour is considered offensive, inappropriate, intimidating, abusive, disruptive or likely to negatively affect the experience of others.

  • In such circumstances, no refund will be given.

 

8. Venues, Photography & Marketing

  • Venues, Photography & Marketing

  • Every effort is made to hold events at the advertised date, time and venue. However, Something Special reserves the right to change venues, merge events, postpone events, cancel events or make other reasonable changes where necessary.

  • Photographs may occasionally be taken at events and used on the Something Special website, social media pages and marketing materials.

  • Only photographs for which consent has been given will be used by Something Special Introductions.

  • Please note that venues, third-party suppliers and other attendees may also take photographs or videos independently of Something Special Introductions. Something Special accepts no responsibility or liability for the use, publication or distribution of photographs or videos taken by third parties.

9. Ratios, Matches & Introductions

  • Something Special endeavours to provide a balanced ratio of attendees at events where appropriate; however, this cannot be guaranteed.

  • We do not guarantee that attendees will receive matches, friendships, introductions, dates, relationships or ongoing contact with other attendees.

  • If you attend more than one Dating Night, you may see people you have met before. Many attendees enjoy seeing someone a second time as it provides an opportunity to get to know them better.

 

10. Liability

  • Attendance at all events is entirely voluntary and at your own risk.

  • Events are held at venues and locations over which Something Special has no direct control.

  • Something Special accepts no responsibility for loss, damage, injury, accident or inconvenience suffered before, during or after an event, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

  • Please also refer to the Participation Policy, particularly for walks, outdoor activities and events involving physical activity.

 

11. Cancellation & Transfers

Refunds, transfers, postponements, booking fees and coupon codes are governed by the Cancellation Policy.

Please ensure you have read the Cancellation Policy before purchasing a ticket.

 

12. Accuracy of Information

Every care is taken to ensure that information published on our website is accurate. However, we cannot guarantee that all information will always be complete, accurate or free from errors.
