So what happens when I sign-up for a Matchmaking Plan?

After purchasing Matchmaking Membership, you will be sent a welcome email containing a link to your Membership Form.
As I meet every member personally, you do not need to complete the entire form before submitting it. I simply ask that you provide your contact details and at least one recent photograph. The remaining sections can be completed together during your personal meeting.
Once your form has been submitted, I will contact you to arrange your personal meeting, either in person or via Zoom, depending on your membership plan.
This initial stage of membership is focused on getting everything set up properly. During this time, we will complete your profile, discuss what you are looking for in a partner and ensure I have everything I need to begin looking for suitable introductions.
At your personal meeting, we will:
• Go through your Membership Form in detail
• Discuss your preferences, requirements and what you are looking for in a partner
• Get to know more about you and the type of person you would like to meet
• Verify two forms of identification
• Sign the Something Special Confidentiality & Code of Conduct Agreement
• If we are meeting in person and you would like me to, I can also take some photographs for your profile at no additional charge

Once your meeting has taken place, your identification has been verified and your profile has been completed, you will become a live member of Something Special.

At that point, I will begin looking for suitable introductions for you. Matchmaking Members may also choose to access the online Members' Area and 'Takes Two' platform, although this is entirely optional.

MEMBERSHIP PROFILE FORM
Once a member, you will gain access to the
Something Special Membership Form online. This form is designed to get to know all about you and what you are looking for in a partner. Please complete and submit your form as soon as possible.
I understand how form filling is not fun - all I ask is that you complete the questions with an * which are mainly about your gender, contact details and one photo. All the other questions can be answered with me, Jules, at your personal meeting.
Once you have submitted your membership form online, I will contact you to arrange your personal meeting to discuss your membership form in greater depth and find out exactly what you are looking for in a partner.​

PERSONAL
MEETING
Personal meetings are held either in person or via Zoom, depending on your membership plan.
If meeting in person, this is usually somewhere relaxed close to where Something Special is based in Coulsdon, Surrey.
At your personal meeting, we will go through your Membership Form in detail, get to know more about you and discuss what you are looking for in a partner.
I require copies of two forms of identification (one photographic) and you will also be asked to sign the Something Special Confidentiality & Code of Conduct Agreement. A copy of the agreement can be viewed before your meeting.
If we are meeting in person and you would like me to, I can also take some photographs for your profile at no additional charge.
If the meeting is conducted via Zoom, identification and documents can be provided electronically.

MATCHMAKING
MEMBER
Once I have met you, you have signed my agreement form and supplied two forms of identification, you will become a 'live' matchmaking member of Something Special.
Once your profile has been completed, I will begin actively looking for suitable introductions for you and you will be eligible to receive Introduction Emails where I identify somebody who I feel may be a suitable match.
Matchmaking Members are also granted complimentary access to the 'Takes Two' platform. Some members choose to have an active profile, some choose to access the platform without a visible profile and others choose not to use it at all.

Under no circumstances can private contact information be shared on the platform.

INTRODUCTIONS
& DATES

When I identify somebody who I feel may be a suitable introduction, I will send you an Introduction Email containing photographs and Matchmaker Notes about that person for your consideration.

Introductions are made one at a time, allowing you the opportunity to properly consider each potential introduction before moving on to the next.
​
An introduction is considered to have been made when I send you an Introduction Email. This represents a potential introduction that I have personally identified and prepared for you based on your profile, preferences and requirements. Whether you choose to proceed, whether the other person wishes to be introduced, or whether a meeting ultimately takes place are separate stages of the process.
Alternatively, if you choose to use the 'Takes Two' platform and see somebody you would like to meet, let me know and I will see whether an introduction may be possible.
Please let me know as soon as possible whether you would like to be introduced.
If you would like to proceed, I will approach the other person to see whether they would also be interested in an introduction. Whilst I will always do my best to facilitate introductions, I cannot guarantee that another person will wish to proceed or agree to be introduced.
If both people would like to proceed, you can either exchange contact details or I can arrange a date, time and location suitable for both of you.
About Membership
Once your personal meeting has taken place and your profile has been completed, you will become a live member of Something Special and I will begin looking for suitable introductions for you.

Something Special is a small business offering a highly personal matchmaking service. Every introduction is based on who I have available at the time and how well you align with one another, so timings can vary. Some members receive introductions sooner, whilst for others it can take longer. I will not know whether a suitable introduction is available until after your personal meeting and profile have been completed.

Personal matchmaking is a collaborative service. My role is to work with you and use my experience, events, database, network and resources to help you find the right person.
​
When I identify somebody who I feel may be a suitable introduction, I will send you an Introduction Email containing photographs and information about that person for consideration. If you would like to be introduced, I will then approach the other person to see whether they would also be interested in an introduction.

Whilst I actively look for introductions and opportunities for all Matchmaking Members, the availability of introductions depends on who is available at any given time and how closely they match your preferences, requirements and deal-breakers.
