How The Pretty Woman Club & The GoodFellas Club came about...

Come along to a #walktalkdrink with your community - I currently organise these for free for BOTH CLUBS weekly - from eleven venues within the areas stated on the group - of course all are welcome - but the meets are usually held in and around Coulsdon, Reigate, Oxted, Tandridge, Warlingham, Godstone, Caterham, Purley, Kenley, Chaldon, Nutfield. More new walks are being created from new pubs and areas. These are usually created at least two weeks before.

Welcome to our Clubs!!!

In mid-August 2021, The Pretty Woman Club was started 'after' Covid-19 to help us to get back out there and Ladies' mental health. The intention was and is to meet for walks that end with a drink or two. If you want to make new friends or need someone to talk to, come and join us for a walk, for the drinks or both x

Why is it free? Although mental health has always been important, I saw a group for men to meet to be able to talk and walk - a safe place for them to share any problems and make new friends in the area - I wanted to offer the same but something slightly different (with the drink to include all the women in the community regardless of ability or want to walk) to do my bit to help the women in my community and help mental health. I chose 'The Pretty Woman Club' as a name as I love the film.

A few weeks later The GoodFellas Club for men was born for the same reason because the group I had seen for men all met in London.

Our door is always open to new members to both The Pretty Woman and The GoodFellas Clubs. We have 1.9k Pretty Woman Members and we have 217 GoodFellas on Facebook and we are growing each week which is so lovely. We also have other Members through the website for those who have been unable to see our meets due to not being on social media.

Please do come and join us at our next #walktalkdrink or event — each meet and event brings familiar faces and new people along which is so lovely. The Facebook groups and Something Special Website Groups are private to keep where we are meeting for our walks and our members safe and for support within our community amongst us pretty women to help each other and be there whenever any one of us needs it.

All events/ meets for everyone are now on the Something Special Website, so those who are not on social media can also view our weekly #walktalkdrinks. This means even more people can benefit. To keep them private and us safe, to view them, you need to sign-up with your email address to the website and join either The Pretty Woman Club or The GoodFellas Club groups on the website.

These community Facebook groups are on Facebook for Friendship and support amongst men and amongst women in the community. If you ever have a question or need help, this community will always be there to support you. You can ask questions on the group either as yourself or anonymously - by clicking the 'post anonymously' button on your post. We have our private groups on the website too if you prefer to use those instead.

These walks have been created free either weekly or twice a week for 15 months - from August 2021 to November 2022 for both clubs. After 15 months, we are well and truly out of Covid and back to 'normal' life. Although there is no longer a need to help get the community 'back out there' after Covid-19, I am still running the #walktalkdrinks and other events for these community groups to make friends - should you wish to join us. Still currently free in November 2022 - I am currently deciding whether this service will continue to be free or not going forward.

I am so proud to have helped and supported men and women from all over South London, East Surrey, Reigate & Banstead and beyond to get back out there after Covid-19 and meet and make such good life-long friends. Every single Pretty Woman and GoodFella I have met at a walk or an event have been so supportive to one another, such lovely people and have become true friends - it really is all of you that made these groups what they are.

Hopefully it goes without saying, these groups are for looking after our own mental health, helping others, kindness and making new friends. Please be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.

I look forward to meeting you on a walk or event.

Thank you. Love Jules 🙂💕 x
